Why we exist:

Don Kaka is a fashion house created to define the fashion for this rapidly evolving technological era in history. Every period throughout civilization can be defined by what it’s people were wearing, the materials they used, and how their clothes were put together. Yet today, in the supposedly most advanced era in history, clothing design has not evolved and everyone is still dressed like they’re in the 90s, with clothes made of the worst materials possible. We want to design the outfits of the future so that people 1000 years from now can look back at this point in history and define our civilization by how we dressed. These outfits are made of the best materials in the world (until we develop better ones) and are designed to perfection, so you can just wear them every day without having to think about it.

Fashion is currently the 3rd largest polluter on the planet. Over half of all clothing production today is polyester and nylon which is literally plastic from petroleum. There are studies that show these clothes shed millions of microplastics every time you wear or wash them, causing untold harm to your body and the environment. These microplastics are being found in every corner of the planet from ancient archeological samples to the individual cells in your body, and we are just starting to learn about their harmful effects. Barely anyone knows about this but it’s something we really need to change to have a positive future.

So our solution is to make outfits out of the best materials that last a lifetime, barely need to be washed, and are designed to perfection. In the beginning our prices will be higher than what most can easily afford, as the cost to make clothes out of such materials is MUCH higher than the polyester clothing everyone has become accustomed to. But as we grow we will take over the fabric manufacturing process from beginning to end, getting the fibers (like wool), processing it, and weaving it into fabrics ourselves. This will allow us to control all aspects of the production process and figure out how to reduce costs to something anyone can afford. At the same time we will open an R&D lab to develop the fabrics of the future, such as spider silk for lightweight bulletproof jackets, integrating active camouflage into clothing, and even seeing if there are ways to improve existing fibers like wool at the DNA level.

Master plan:

1. Create the most exquisite pieces of clothing humanity has ever known

2. Use money from that to take over supply chain of our fabrics to bring down costs

3. Fund R&D of new fabrics of the future

4. Sustainably mass produce clothing of the future at an affordable price
